Eternal Security

As Bible believers, we believe all of Scripture, not just a selection of verses. There are verses in the Bible that say someone can lose it, and there are verses that say someone cannot lose it. The difference is to whom the verses are talking.

Verses that teach someone can lose salvation

  1. We are now sons of God

What if I don’t feel saved?

  1. We may lose our confidence of salvation due to sin.

  2. Feelings are deceptive. You know you are saved because you did what the Word of God said you needed to in order to get saved.

  3. We are not condemned.

  4. We are saved from wrath.
    • Wrath has two aspects:
      • Judgment in Hell
      • Tribulation
        • Christians go out at the Rapture, saved from the tribulation period.

  5. We are free from the law of sin and death.

  6. We have the Holy Spirit.

  7. Jesus is our advocate, our defense attorney.
