1. Family
   • You will have a tendency to be overzealous with those you love.
     • Give them the truth, be kind, and give them to God.
     • Don’t beat them up all the time.
     • John 2:17
     • Romans 10:2
   • Recognize that Christ causes division.
     • Luke 12:51-53
   • Love Jesus more than father or mother.
     • Matthew 10:37
     • Luke 14:26
     • Genesis 29:30-31
   • They don’t understand your religion.
     • Closed minded - even if you have the right answer, if you are not willing to listen to others you will not have much influence with them.
   • Don’t be ashamed.
     • Romans 10:11

   • Some won’t listen because of pride.
     • “You couldn’t be right, you’re too young.”
     • 1 Timothy 4:12
   • Don’t be afraid.
     • Some are afraid they will be cut out of the will.
       • Example: when some Jews get saved, their family has their funeral.
     • 1 Peter 1:3-4
   • Family finances can cause problems:
     • Overspending
     • Covetousness
     • Your testimony will suffer when you owe money.
